Little Lizzie

This page is dedicated to my older sister Lizzie CrowEagle.  She is in heaven with our Father as a result of an abortion.  I pray every day for my sister and other siblings in heaven and ask for their intercession for our family - especially for our mom, friends, the conversion of sinners, and our brothers and sisters in purgatory.  I have five siblings in heaven.  The two oldest, Rustin and Rustine, both died from respiratory complications and were both born with osteogenesis imperfecta - then Lizzie - and then I had two younger siblings that were miscarriages.  It's only through God that we can love people without meeting them.  I have a very deep love for my siblings in heaven and talk with them about everything - always asking for their prayers.  Every thought, word, and action I make is a prayer and intercession through them for the love, mercy, and discernment of our Father's will for everyone.

Information from National Right to Life and ProLife Across America about the development of a baby from conception to birth.
- Click on the links for more detailed information and images of unborn babies.
* By 18 days a baby's heart beats.
* By week 8 every organ is in place, bones begin to replace cartilage, and fingerprints begin to form.  By the 8th week the baby can begin to hear.
* By 10 weeks a baby can feel pain.
* By 12 weeks the baby reaches peak frequency of movement during the third month.  The baby's sex can be visually determined, and the child's eyes, ears, and face begin to display distinctive characteristics.
He/she can kick, turn feet, curl and fan toes, make a fist, move thumbs, bend wrists, turn head, open mouth, and press lips tightly together.
* At 12 weeks the unborn baby is now about 3 inches long, weighing approximately 2 ounces, fine hair begins to grow on his/her upper lip, chin and eyebrows.  The baby responds to skin stimulation.

* By week 14 the heart pumps several quarts of blood through the body every day.
* Week 20 is the earliest stage at which partial birth abortions are performed.
* At 20 weeks the unborn baby recognizes it's mother's voice.

Under the 5th Commandment - You shall not kill - we are commanded to respect each and every human person as an image of God. (Outlines of the Catholic Faith, Pg. 56)
The Catechism of the Catholic Church states in no. 2270, "Human life must be respected and protected absolutely from the moment of conception.  From the first moment of existence, a human being must be recognized as having the rights of a person - among which is the inviolable right of every innocent being to life."
no. 2273, "The inalienable right to life of every innocent human individual is a constitutive element of a civil society and its legislation:  "The inalienable rights of the person must be recognized and respected by civil society and the political authority.  These human rights depend neither on single individuals nor on parents; nor do they represent a concession made by society and the state; they belong to human nature and are inherent in the person by virtue of the creative act from which the person took his origin.  Among such fundamental rights one should mention in this regard every human being's right to life and physical integrity from the moment of conception until death." (CDF, Donuum vitae III)
"The moment a positive law deprives a category of human beings of the protection which civil legislation ought to accord them, the state is denying the equality of all before the law.  When the state does not place its power at the service of the rights of each citizen, and in particular of the more vulnerable, the very foundations of a state based on law are undermined... As a consequence of the respect and protection which must be ensured for the unborn child from the moment of conception, the law must provide appropriate penal sanctions for every deliberate violation of the child's right." (CDF, Donuum vitae III."
no. 2274, "Since it must be treated from conception as a person, the embryo must be defended in its integrity, cared for, healed, as far as possible, like any other human being."

Genesis 1:26-31
"Then God said: Let us make human beings in our image, after our likeness.  Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the tame animals, all the wild animals, and all the creatures that crawl on the earth.
God created mankind in his image;
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.
God blessed them and God said to them: Be fertile and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it.  Have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and all living things that crawl on the earth.  God also said:  See, I give you every seed-bearing plant on all the earth and every tree that has seed-bearing fruit on it to be your food; and to all the wild animals, all the birds of the air, and all the living creatures that crawl on the earth, I give all green plants for food.  And so it happened.  God looked at everything he had made, and found it very good.  Evening came, and morning followed - the sixth day."

Please pray for all the unborn children, their mothers, fathers, and family that they respect each life of every unborn baby.  Pray for mothers that have aborted their babies - for healing and forgiveness and that they may become protectors of life.

Our Lady of Guadalupe is the Patroness of the Unborn.
Information taken from Catholic Education about the story of Juan Diego and Our Lady of Guadalupe.
"On his way to mass Juan Diego walked along the Tepeyac Hill and heard beautiful music and followed it.  He saw a beautiful lady who told him, "Know for certain, least of my sons, that I am the perfect and perpetual Virgin Mary, Mother of Jesus, the true God, through whom everything lives, the Lord of all things near and far, the Master of Heaven and earth.  It is my earnest wish that a temple be built here to my honor.  Here I will demonstrate, I will manifest, I will give all my love, my compassion, my help and my protection to the people.  I am your merciful mother, the merciful mother of all of you who live united in this land, and of all mankind, of all those who love me, of those who cry to me, of those who seek me, and of those who have confidence in me.  Here I will hear their weeping, their sorrow and will remedy and alleviate all their multiple sufferings, necessities, and misfortunes."
Juan Diego asked her name and she responded in his native language of Nahuatl, "Tlecuatlecupe."  Which means "the one who crushes the head of the serpent."
She told Juan Diego to tell the Bishop of her desire to have a church built at the site and twice Juan Diego had talked with Bishop, but Bishop wanted a sign.
On his way to get a priest for his sick uncle, Juan Diego avoided Tepeyac Hill because he had not returned when the Blessed Mother had asked him to.
Still, the Blessed Mother stopped him and told him, "Hear and let it penetrate into your heart, my dear little son: let nothing discourage you, nothing depress you.  Let nothing alter your heart or your countenance.  Also, do not fear any illness or vexation, anxiety or pain.  Am I not here who am your mother?  Are you not under my shadow and protection?  Am I not your fountain of life?  Are you not in the folds of my mantle, in the crossings of my arms?  Is there anything else you need of me?"  Juan Diego's uncle's health had been restored.
The Blessed Mother told Juan Diego to go on top of the mountain, where it was dry and barren, and pick flowers.  Juan Diego found roses and put them in his tilma - a garment like a poncho.
Juan Diego brought the roses to the Bishop and there was also the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe on his tilma.
Bishop had a church built.
December 9 is the feast day of St. Juan Diego.
December 12 is the feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
*** The image of Our Lady of Guadalupe is actually an Aztec Pictograph which was read and understood quickly by the Aztec Indians.
In the image, Our Lady of Guadalupe wore the black Aztec Maternity Belt, which meant she was with child.
Please visit Catholic Education - Image Explanations of Our Lady of Guadalupe, for more information and meanings of the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, which appeared on the tilma of St. Juan Diego.

Venerable Archbishop Fulton Sheen (May 8, 1895 - December 9, 1979) encouraged the spiritual adoption of unborn babies by praying for the life of an unborn baby to be spared:
"Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you very much.  I beg you to spare the life of the unborn baby that I have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion.
Jesus may your peace and your love embrace the hearts, minds and souls of the family, friends and loved ones who encourage this abortion and lead them all to your sacred and eucharistic heart." AMEN
To be prayed everyday for nine months.

"From 1973 through 2011, nearly 53 million legal abortions occurred in the U.S." (AGI) - Click on Abort73 for more facts and abortion statistics.

I found this video very informative and thought I would share it.  It's over an hour long, but worth watching.

St. Juan Diego - pray for us.
Our Lady of Guadalupe - pray for us.

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray: and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits,
who wander through the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.
